STEP 1 | Intro Video

STEP 2 | Application

STEP 3 | Video or audio audition

Please e-mail a (recently recorder) good quality recording of you singing or playing your instrument to audition@connectatheartland.com.
This should be a full length song that shows off your vocal range or your musical ability that features good dynamic range.

STEP 4 | Wait to receive a response

Once we have received your application and your video or audio audition, we will respond to you via e-mail to let you know if we believe
that you are ready to move on to Step 5. If we believe that there are areas for you to work on before moving to step 5, then we will list out those areas for improvement, and do our best to resource you with way  that can help you improve. If we believe that you are not a good fit at this time,
we will be sure to communicate that to you lovingly and do our best to help find a different area at Heartland where you can serve with other
giftings that you have.

STEP 5 | live solo audition

If you move on to Step 5 of the audition process, you will be given 3 songs to learn as closely to the practice recording as you possibly can, and then you be asked to play them all the way through by yourself in-person in front of a handful of other band members.  Depending on how that goes, you will move on to the next step.

STEP 6 | live band audition

If you move on to Step 6 of the audition process, you will be given 4 or 5 songs to learn as closely to the practice recording as you possibly can, and then you be asked to play them all the way through in-person with a full band. This will include playing to a click track, and you will be expected to play all the way through each song without any major hiccups. Depending on how that audition goes, you will be given either a GREEN LIGHT, YELLOW LIGHT, or RED LIGHT.

green light

A green light means that you are ready to be put on rotation for corporate gatherings.

yellow light

A yellow light means that we believe there is strong potential for you to be put on rotation
for corporate gatherings, but there are things that need to be addressed first. Those things
will be communicated to you and you will be given next steps.

red light

A red light means that something has come up that we believe gives reason not to put you on
rotation  for corporate gatherings, in which case those things will be communicated to you.

STEP 7 | you're on!

Congratulations, you have been approved to begin on a rotational schedule for Heartland's corporate gatherings, in which case, next steps will be provided to you to prep you for your first week on.
